Who We Are
Mission: TEF works to support youth development by fostering creativity, self-esteem, and civic pride in local communities
- TEF partners with schools, community organizations, and local businesses to create safe, educational, and engaging programs for children and teens.
Essentially, TEF is a hub for youth engagement, providing both practical experiences and mentorship while encouraging students to give back to their community.
What We Do
Youth Programs & Events
- Art in the Park (AitP): Creative, hands-on art experiences for kids in Providence and Pawtucket during the summer.
- Community Clean-Ups: Teens and community members help improve local neighborhoods while learning about civic pride.
- MMM Fundraiser (Meet Me at the Met): Community events that combine fundraising, arts, and volunteer involvement.
- Healthy Living Events: Workshops and activities promoting wellness for youth.
2. Volunteer Opportunities
- Provides local students and community members a way to complete community service hours.
- Offers structured opportunities for students to volunteer at events, mentor younger youth, and assist with program logistics.
3. Internships
- Students can apply for internships in the TEF office to gain hands-on experience in youth programming, nonprofit operations, and event management.
- Interns work alongside staff and college work-study students, learning leadership and teamwork skills.
4. Support for Schools & Clubs
- Partners with high schools to help students start community service clubs.
- Provides guidance, event opportunities, and mentorship so students can complete graduation requirements meaningfully.
5. Core Principles

- Self-Esteem – Building confidence and leadership skills in youth.
- Civic Pride – Helping students take ownership of and improve their communities.
