The YMCA of Pawtucket is seeking a regular volunteer for our Shower on the Move program that provides services to the unhoused population in the Pawtucket-Central Falls area. We have a brand-new mobile unit with showers, bathrooms, a clothing closet, and food that we use to provide services. Our current service schedule is Thursdays and Fridays, 7am-11am, with possible events during the day on Mondays and Wednesdays as well. You do not need to stay for the full shift but should be available on a fairly regular basis. Volunteers help to conduct intake, greet clients, provide them with needed materials, and keep the mobile facility orderly. All YMCA volunteer must undergo a BCI, reference check, and online training in order to volunteer.
